Appliance Repair by Broughton Appliance Services Inc in Richmond, Virginia

We had this company come to the house to repair a washing machine. In all honesty, we have an extended warranty and this machine has been a problem since we got it. Another company came to "fix" it twice and it was never truly repaired. Whirlpool asked if they could send another company and they chose this business. I told the office manager what was going on. I then told Kemp, the repair man when he arrived; the machine had been "repaired" twice but was still not working. He spoke with the Whirlpool hotline and they asked him to order the part same one that had been replaced twice and install it. Kemp left my house telling me he would order the part and be back with another tech to make the repair. Fast forward to over two weeks later and I still had not heard from them. I called the office and was told they denied the repair so no one would be coming. When I questioned why, they told me that Kemp had told me that the day he came. WRONG!!! He left telling me he would be back with the part and another tech to install it when it arrived. I would say they have very poor communication, but they actually just don't communicate at all. So now after waiting over two weeks since his first visit, I am back to square one to try and get it fixed.

Glen came to fix the dryer and fixed my whole day. He was quick, professional, and patient. He paused to let me vacuum out all the lint and parts, and explained his process completely. He also helped me install a sink disposal I was struggling with AND explained to me how I should fix my microwave. Seriously, he did so much in that one visit. The price seemed very fair to me, and his customer service was out of this world.

our first experience with Broughton was very positive. courteous helpful and efficient. office person looked up our dryer model and repairman arrived 2 days later as promised. he had to do a return trip a day later with a specific part they don't routinely carry with them, but we were only charged one trip charge and one hour labor, and now we once again have a working dryer for a fraction of the cost of a new one. he also helped me locate a replacement part for our circa-1976 stove, so we got that working again too!
