Jean Day | After four visits from Sears Home Services, we are hopeful that our dryer is finally repaired since the last technician finally replaced a part. The technician was friendly and respectful. Unfortunately, in order to replace the defective part, we were quoted nearly 300 which was mostly for labor. However, if we committed to a one-year contract for 600, the cost would be 149. We felt compelled to pay for the annual contract because the 300 was outrageous for a one-time repair. We felt coerced into purchasing the annual service. It wasn't the technician's fault. He was just quoting the company's policy. We feel this is a questionable practice that Sears gets away and needs to be looked into. |
