Bill Leach | The interior glass on our oven door broke shortly before Christmas. A repairman came in early January to evaluate the damage. He ordered replacement glass, and we set up an appointment to install it in early February. The day before the appointment, a representative from Sears called to verify that the glass had been shipped directly to us. It hadn't. The appointment for repair had to be rescheduled. The glass arrived in mid-February, and the repairman came early on the morning of February 25th--more than two months after I had called to have the door fixed. The repairman, who was very cordial and competent, gave us the bad news that the glass the company sent was for the exterior, not the interior, of the door. Somehow he managed to get the correct glass that day, had it delivered, and returned late in the afternoon to fix the door. He indicated, however, that the new glass would cost an additional 82.00. All told, we invested about 450.00 in this repair. Had we known of the additional cost, we probably would have just bought a new oven/stove, the extra 82.00 being the tipping point. In addition, how is it that a piece of glass that took two months to track down can suddenly appear five hours after being ordered? Aside from Jeff, the technician who finally completed the work, I find Sears highly inefficient. I doubt we'll purchase another appliance from you, and certainly won't call you for repairs. At the very least, the 82.00 which was tacked on to the bill we had already paid should be refunded. Not pleased! |
daniel | I gave this play 4 stars mostly because of the person they sent out great guy and really care about what he did. I will say it is expensive but the do offer a warranty to half the bill but you pay about 50 dollars a month for it. Depending on how old your stuff is it could be useful. |
