They wanted to charge 700+tax which is as much as a brand new computer to replace a motherboard and power button board, both parts that I could purchase off eBay for about 120 and I can install it myself. Was using Geek Squad for convenience and didn't mind paying the 80+ for diagnostics but the repair costs was insanely high. If you have a computer to be repaired, buyer beware. It appears they just want to make a quick buck off their base diagnostic charge and then charge a large repair costs to see if they can find any suckers out there. I ain't biting! : |
