Antonia B | This is a revised review of work that Tri-State Basement did for our family to waterproof a basement. The bulk of the work was done to our specifications on time and in budget. We initially did have one area of disagreement regarding the placement of the drainage pipe, however the owner was very responsive to our request to relocate the drain to a different area on the property and we are now very satisfied with the results. We will update this post regarding the effectiveness of the waterproofing because it is still too early to judge since the weather has been dry. We have high hopes that this company's years of expertise have provided us with a solution to this longstanding problem! |
Tom Vlodek | Tri State saved our house...simple as that. Six years ago, we bought an old farmhouse in Adams Co., WI. The basement/crawl space flooded every spring and we learned that the dampness had rotted the main wooden support beam. We were told by an architect our only hope to save the house was to lift it and build a new foundation and floor. We soon learned that was something we could not afford. Tri-State Basement Repair had a better idea. They first dug a new outdoor entrance to the basement, then replaced the rotted beam with a new one made of steel. Then they dug around the perimeter, set drain tiles, and installed a sump-pump to deal with the water problem. All of this for a fraction of the cost of a new foundation. The crew was terrific. Lucas and the guys arrived promptly every morning until the job was done. They were so friendly and were happy to keep us informed as to what they were doing. They worked hard and took pride in what they were doing. When it was done, they cleaned up and even made a special trip to to replace a leaky drain hose. My wife and I could not be happier with the job Tri State Besement Repair did for us. We highly recommend them. |
Kelly Boyd | Hard to write this review. We had previously had a great experience with Tri-state at our previous residence in 2016, however, this time around it didn't go so well. The crew was loud shouting to each other and often used profanity. They jackhammered into our sewer pipe, which was our responsibility to fix per: the contract. They also had the wrong encapsulation on hand, then when ordering the correct one, received the wrong on by the company, resulting in many delays for us. They concreted our dryer vent closed on accident and promised to fix it when they returned to encapsulate the walls. They forgot and took off without stating they had finished. They offered to take 100 of of our 7,000+ bill for the encapsulation error. Not the best customer service. Hopefully they'll be able to turn things around. |
