My Sears repair technician was pleasant and did the basic review of my oven but told me he could not diagnose a problem if the oven was not manifesting problems at the time of his maintenance/repair service call. Two days later my oven is flashing/beeping "F10 err code" again twice in one hour, overheating 550+ degrees, and I am back where I started. I was told by powering down the oven through the fuse box then restarting the oven, the err code situation could correct itself and I could safely use the oven. This has not been the case. Thinking my oven would be able to self-correct, I cancelled an order for a new oven to replace the existing, and now I'm feeling that's something I should not have done. This has been a frustrating experience because no one seems to have a firm grip of what repeated F10 err code situations imply about the overall functioning of the oven.

I've now had appliance repairmen at my house twice to fix the refrigerator/freezer doors that randomly pop open. The website states that they have flexible scheduling. This is not true. They only schedule from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. so you have to take off an entire day of work to be there for them. The first time, I received notice at 4 p.m. that the repairman was coming the next day and I would have to be at my home the entire day. When I tried to reschedule they were already closed. It was a very busy day for me and I had to cancel three of my appointments to wait for repairman. I waited from 8 a.m. until 4:30 p.m. then called to see if he was coming. i was told he was "right down the street" and would be at my home any minute. I called again at 6 p.m. Again, I was told he was right down the street and was heading for my house. They should have been honest and rescheduled--it was the fair thing to do for me and the repairman. He didn't arrive until 8 p.m. I was lied to twice. He was NOT on his way at 4:30 or 6! He worked on my refrigerator until almost 10 at night I don't blame him for being grumpy! but could not fix the door. I had a second service call. I told them that they advertise flexible scheduling and I could not spend another entire day waiting for them. They told me they would give me an advance notice and it would be an afternoon appointment. I work in the evening until early in the morning. I received a notice that he would be at my house at noon. He arrived between 8 and 9 a.m. I was still in bed! If this happens to you, refuse to open the door. He told me the house is settling and he would write up a report, but did not fix the problem. The freezer door is still popping open! I called to schedule a third appointment and asked to speak to a manager or supervisor as soon as I called. The customer service agent asked me to explain the problem. I politely explained about the previous calls and why I needed an afternoon appointment. I asked to speak to a manager or supervisor. She told me Sears only schedules for an entire day. I again asked for a supervisor. She became angry and said, "They're not going to tell you anything different! We only schedule for entire days!" Apparently, the website is a lie? Because she was now shouting at me and refusing to allow me to speak to a supervisor I asked for her name so I could file a compliant. She told me she would connect me with a supervisor. Instead, she sent me back to the warranty company. This is the worst company I have ever had to work with in all my years of owning houses and shame on you, Sears, for lying on your website about flexible schedules.
