Appliance Repair by Steve’s Small Engine , LLC in La Crosse, Wisconsin

This place used to be a good small business. After Steve retired and the new owner took over it has gone down hill fast. The service is sloppy and the employees could care less about the customers. I would never recommend this business to anyone. My father has bought two riding mowers from them. This fall he had heart trouble and was told not to use a walk behind snowblower. He went to Steve's to purchase a snowblower attachment for his riding mower in October. It took weeks to come in and then weeks for them to install it. My dad got it back at the end of December and it was missing the weights and chains. They kept giving him the run around and then finally brought them down to him to install last week. I could have done a better job installing them and I don't know anything about installing chains and weights. Neither chain was installed correctly and one of them was held together by a couple zip ties. My husband who has experience with this stuff had to go down and fix it for my father. My husband stopped into Steve's to tell them how badly it was cobbled together and was basically told they didn't care. My husband told them if that's the quality of work they are producing they won't be in business much longer. Again, he was told they don't care. They don't care about their quality of work and they don't care if they lose business. It's a shame they are tarnishing Steve's good name and the quality he stood for. I used to refer people to Steve's all the time. Never Again!
