The service is awesome! This place is the definition of good old fashioned customer service. I will continue to do my business here!

All things considered, I am usually received well here and they tend to find everything I need whether it is stocked or not. For a small town, they do great business and have taken care of us for over a decade now.

This place is Terrible! Had a simple fence project that required Simpson type hangers of a certain style. After looking for ten minutes at all the hanger types without ever having been acknowledged mind you the guy I was with and myself were the only ones in the store, I finally grabbed the style hanger I needed accept in a larger size and went up front for help. I asked one of the lady's for help and was told "they should be on the shelf". I explained that I had looked thoroughly and she then hesitantly came to help. She walked up to a bin and pulled out a Simpson bracket for a 2x4, which was the size I needed, however the fastening flanges bent to the outside, and I explained to her I needed them to bend inward so the nails are hidden. She looked at me in disgust and said " what you see is what you get". The guy I'm with points out a picture of what we need on a poster that is hanging in the isle with the part number printed below. She looks and quickly says they don't stock those, and that she would know because she has never put any away! We mention that these are commonplace in fence building. She then turns and walks down the isle mumbling about fence brackets. She gets to the end of the isle where there are miscellaneous boxes of assorted brackets these are boxes that they shipped in and are not organized and digs around and pulls out the exact bracket that is on the poster! The box is at the opposite end of the isle as all the other 2x4 brackets. We grab four and head up to pay. What do you know three cashier's only one ringing a customer up. The other two don't acknowledge we are there. We get in line behind the other customers only to have the lady tell us that the guy across from her can help us. He reluctantly puts down his paper and rings us up for the four brackets and ten standard cedar fence boards 5.5" wide. The total! 69.00 ouch! But that's what these people are all about. Gouge for everything you can and don't worry about repeat business. As you have probably gathered customer service is not a priority with these people. I will give them this the have a nice store that is pretty well stocked but without good customer service this means nothing to me! Hope this will help inform potential customers and keep them from also having a bad experience. Thanks for reading.
