They diagnosed a complete replacement at an estimated cost of 8,100 for a two ton unit, single speed 16 seer. It is an elevated location for a three story stilt home on the coast that would have required a lift. Had another contractor come out to give a second opinion. He was able to fix the unit in about an hour. New thermostat and contact board. He said the unit looked surprisingly good for being on the coast. What a difference. Go figure. |
