Save your time and money, and don't bother with Sears Home Services in Brenham, Texas. I contacted Sears Home Services when my GE washing machine less than 3 years old went on the fritz. They scheduled me for a service call the next day, which entailed a 99 nonrefundable service fee. The next day, repairman Kevin showed up, and diagnosed my problem to be a malfunctioning lid lock. He assured me that the part was on order, would be delivered in 3-5 days, and told me that "their system" would not let him schedule a return visit until 3 weeks later, but I could call as soon as the part arrived, and there would be a service man out to install the part sooner. Of course, that was a lie, and he knew it. ...but, silly me, I paid 160 in advance, and trusted him when he said Sears would be in touch. After waiting 2 weeks, and no follow up from Sears regarding my part, I contacted Sears, and, low and behold! My part had never been ordered! Not only that! They could not give me an estimate as to when my part would be available. Seriously? A GE washing machine lid lock? They can't get a simple part like that? It's available from multiple parts vendors online with a 1 day delivery! I asked for my advanced payment to be credited back to my credit card, and cut them loose. So, after 2 weeks, I'm back at square one, out 99, and repairing my machine myself. Very unhappy! How do rackets like this stay in business?

If I could rate this as a ZERO I would. Do NOT have this Sears come to repair ANYTHING for you, oh wait they probably will not show up anyway. After paying a 79 fee through home warranty they had sears come out a few days later. Tech advises me he can order one part I will have to order the other. So I call to order the part they laugh in my face & say the tech should have never made me order a part I agreed it was weird but why is THEIR tech making me do this?? So they order the parts, they come in. Schedule an appt with Kevin to come out, he calls me to say that unfortunately his van broke down & he can't make it. So again reschedules, on the next day he calls me to tell me that he was AUDITED & his TOOLS GOT TAKEN AWAY! I'm sitting here in aw like what kind of company are they running?! & again he can not come install my parts. So he reschedules AGAIN. On this day i never receive a call to say the tech is not coming. So I call & ask the next day they advise me oh no your appt is in a week. I would not have scheduled it on a Monday bc I work mondays so then they tell me they can come tomorrow 11/12/19. They call at 12 to tell me that no they don't have a tech coming anymore & we need to reschedule for 11/13/19 so today I receive a call & they tell me I requested to reschedule I said what I never did I need someone to come today. They advised that no now they need to reschedule I said to when they said “oh a later day” I said when is that I NEED my refrigerator fixed. They said That MAYBE they can fix it another day. I got so angry & hung up. I will now bc going to a different company paying more out of pocket so these people won't get a dime from me. This is ridiculous & I wouldn't recommend them to my worst enemy. Don't deal with them unless youd like to be rescheduled 8 times.
