They do not value customers. I rented a drywall lift for 24 hrs for 50 and realized that a screw in the winch mechanism was missing, thus compromising the machine. We learned this by it collapsing on my friend. It was late that evening, so I thought nothing of it and decided I would go by the next day when I got done with classes. I went and told them the problem, and asked about getting a working machine for the next 24hrs as a replacement. They said no because I had not notified them soon enough even though I brought it back within 24 hrs, and by all other definitions 24hrs is a quick notification period within the business world. I was very calm and kind in my request, but the manager would not budge and said I would have to rent a whole new one at full price. As a Management major at UT, this was poor management, as they failed to recognize that there is more value in the customer than the machine. As a young student who loves building projects, they could have expected tens of thousands of dollars from me over my lifetime, but have lost that. The key to a company is having the customers trust that the company wants the best for them, and not just to make money. I went to equipment rental company, United Rentals, and their prices are not only cheaper, but they gave me half off for my troubles with Home Depot. That is good management, as they care about people, and see the value of returning customers. By being so large scale, and by having good infrastructure Home Depot has among the best prices, but as has been portrayed to me, this leads me to believe they place little value in the people they serve, and that's not acceptable for any business.

My husband and I visited this store location on a busy Saturday and we received the best customer service possible. It was quick returns, visit to the pro desk, and make a copy of a key. Vanessa was so helpful and went above & beyond to help us in literally every area and aspect of our trip in the store... she was very customer service oriented, professional, friendly, and proficient... we have never experienced such great customer service before considering we have been to many Home Depots in several different states that we have lived in. Thank you Vanessa & Natalie today! Thank you Loni on a previous day. We would definitely recommend this store location to everybody in the area for home improvement needs! Also dog friendly! Our dog even loves his trips here, & that's all that really counts- is his happiness at the hardware store.

I'm always able to find what I need for my projects. If I don't know exactly what's available, a person specialized in the department will be able to assist me. Very nicely labeled isles and even brochures and displays for project ideas.
