| Rob London | I took a brand new Samsung TV that was a week old and had quit working rather than fight with Amazon because it was purchased online thru a third party seller I thought it would be faster and easier to just take it to a local vendor and paid to get it fixed. I paid a small diagnostic fee and was told it would take three weeks to get it back. Although I wasn't thrilled I agreed to it. After not hearing anything for five weeks I called to inquire about the TV. He had not even looked at the TV at this point and told me he would get back to me the next day. Two days later he calls and says there is a bad board and it would take two to four days to get the board he could do the repair for 120.00. I agreed and was thinking I would get the TV back by the end of the next week. Two weeks later I still hadn't heard back again so I called him back. Supposedly the board he ordered and replaced was bad as well as the one in the existing TV and he had to order another one. Another two weeks pass and I called again after not hearing anything from him and he tells me the board is on back order. At this point I am extremely dubious. I wait another two weeks without hearing back and by this time I am totally fed up so I drive to his shop and pick the TV up. I return to my house pull the cover off the TV and see that absolutely nothing has been done. I test the boards myself take the part number off and order the board online for 23.00 it will arrive in two days. It is a simple plug and play installation the same as any PC computer board. My recommendation is stay away from this place it is extremely unprofessional and inconsiderate. If I could give zero stars I would. |
| sdocb | The staff is very knowledgeable and they did a great job fixing my TV. The turnaround time was a little long but I had another TV for backup. I would recommend Clear Video to anybody who is in need of television repair. |
