I would say these people are rip off providers. I bought two cistern tanks from them in 2016 and they leaked from the moment they were put in. Wayne Richmond owns the business with his wife. Wayne inspected the tanks when we found they would not hold water and stated that he took responsibility since he made the tanks. His wife showed up and everything changed. She claimed the excavated hole must have not been correct and the bottom cracks were caused by setting tanks on an angle or on a rock. Fact is Portage Septic gave specifications for the hole and I had a excavator with close to 40 year experience dig and prep the hole. He used a laser to make certain the base was level. Then the wife stated that we must have dropped the tanks in to hard. The fact is Portage Septic made the tanks, delivered the tanks, their driver inspected the hole and lowered the tanks in place from their truck. If the excavator damaged the tanks filling in around they would have shown damage most likely on just on side.Instead their was a major crack in the bottom of both tanks and also cracks on all walls. I hired a cement contractor to put three inches of cement in the bottom of each tank. This slowed the leak substantially and the cement contractor tried to seal the side wall leaks with epoxy. The epoxy helped but there were so many cracks that the cement contractor said it would be a wast of money to go anymore at it. I considered a legal action but had a very serious heart problem that kept me in hospital three months along with returns a week at a time totaling about six more weeks. I was just happy to be alive and let the issue drop. I suppose if the tanks were septic you would not notice the leaks as they would be all underground and no one would notice. Wonder how many Portage Septic tanks are leaking into the ground water?

Call ANYONE else. Don't waste your time with these people. We've wasted nearly 2 years and still have a septic system that doesn't work.
