Appliance Repair by Sears Hometown Store in Edenton, North Carolina

My wife and I just had a refrigerator delivered and installed from Edenton's Sears Hometown Store. I don't know how our pleasant experience could be any better than it was. Charles, our salesman, took the time to not only answer all of our questions, but also to guide us the the model best for us. Dylan and Shawn are the best installers we have ever had and we are in our sixties, carefully paying attention to every detail, no matter how small. This is our second experience with the store and it was just as great as the first.

Purchased washer and dryer. Was to receive in a week. Waited home on the day of delivery and no show, no call. I called to find out not in warehouse. 2 weeks later finally received. Door wasn't hinged as ordered, delivery guys didn't know how to correct. There was some damage done removing old appliances. Spoke with the owner. He said he would be out on Monday to correct, no show and no call. I went into the store on Tuesday and the owner said he would be here this afternoon Wednesday, again he was a no show and no call. I really want to support local businesses, but after this I won't purchase there anymore. I will support other local businesses though. If and when this is corrected I will post again.

Purchased refrigerator- install team did not put doors on right and never hooked water to ice maker- called numerous times and no one showed up to fix. Told them about door and they want extra money to fix issue on something earlier they stated would fix- make people not want to use local businesses- reporting to sears Corp and chamber of commerce
