Appliance Repair by M & C Septic Tank Services Inc in Beulaville, North Carolina

I had been referred to this company by the county, as was the buyer of my house. He failed the system for it being old, having a driveway over it and having concrete in the tank. It's a 1950 farmhouse and the system has been maintained and was approved at the time the house was built, same for the driveway. However, bc I had VA financing on the property, the driveway issue had come up when I bought it and they said remove the asphalt from over top of it and don't drive on it. So in 5 years, I have not driven over it with anything besides a lawn mower. I have a cone set in place to keep others off it. He said he dug for an hour and wouldn't finish the inspection without a crew and a backhoe. I had to hire another state certified inspector to come out. He showed up with 2 guys and a shovel, I watched them dig up the lid for the tank, it took them 20 min and hadn't been touched. You could see where M&C had dug, but it was over the distribution box, not the tank. So he failed my system for concrete in a tank that he didn't even inspect. When I called him as soon as he failed it, so that I could find out from the source what was wrong and how to fix it. He was extremely rude to me and pretty much called me a liar about driving over the tank. I have been diligent about not driving over that spot, it's a huge U-shaped driveway so losing 5 ft is not a big deal. I would.never hire this company based on how I was treated when I was asking how to fix the issues.
