Bruce Stringer | Our Kenmore range hood stopped working. No light, no fan. Called Sears service. Tech 1 determined that the main controller board was defective and put an order in for one to be delivered to my home on my credit card. Several weeks later, after the part arrived, tech 2 different guy replaced the board which did not restore function. He replaced the new part with the old part and ordered the other three possible parts: 2 transformers and a capacitor. The game plan was to replace only the defective part and I would only be charged for that part. Another week and a half goes by and tech 3 yes, another guy arrives and is unable to find any defective part with his meter so he replaces all three which restores function. I just wonder how much extra I am paying for parts that did not need to be replaced. It is unfortunate that there was not continuity of service by having the same tech assigned to the job. |
