Preston Leigh | We have been dealing with Petro for many years and overall the staff has been well trained, competent, professional, and courteous. We at the moment have a bit of an annoying situation with Petro right now regarding getting our oil tank replaced. They miscalculated the amount of oil we would need prior to their replacing our old tank, and we twice ran out of oil. But they quickly responded and corrected the issue. Being a customer of any company for many years will result in at least one problem, which we had, and they quickly resolved. People will say Petro is too expensive but Petro does the job right the first time 99 of the time and they stand behind their work. |
Michael Swan | I had a repair job done recently. When I received the quote the details were scribbled on a sheet of paper from a notepad by the onsite rep. When discussing the price with their customer service over the phone it was later found they over quoted me 250 to bleed my system. The rep that was at my house quoting the job and the customer service rep both said the computer decides the price. As we can see their computer system isn't perfect since they over quoted me 250 and the only reason why it was corrected is because I pushed for an itemized receipt. They advised fee to bleed the system was already worked into the quote for the main repair job and corrected the final cost. However, no itemized receipt was ever provided. Basis my estimations which is all I can base this on because they refuse to provide me with a detailed receipt they charge for labor only about 250/hour for a straight forward preventative parts replacement job. Their rep was in and out within a 2.5hr window it would have been quicker if they accepted my help by providing a hose and ran it out the back door when bleeding the system instead of using a bucket and I am under a service contract so they serviced my boiler two weeks prior. Therefore, they knew what they were getting into and didn't have to quote for potential unforeseen issues over the phone they mentioned their computer generated quotes are inflated for possible unforeseen issues. -- Overall, I liked the rep that worked on my boiler but the 'I have to listen to the computer' response when discussing the quote is a weak excuse and is further seen as a shady approach to squeeze as much money out of you when they refuse to give a detailed receipt. As seen in my experience here if they provided a detailed receipt the 250 mistake would have been caught by their staff and not by me pushing for an answer. |
