Umar Minhas | This complaint is regarding GEEK SQUAD, not the rest of the store. I went in today after scheduling an appointment with Geek Squad through Apple Care to repair my iPhone's cracked screen. When I arrived they immediately informed me that the phone would have to be replaced because the back sides glass was cracked also, I didn't have an issue with that or the cost of it. What I did have an issue with was that the gentleman from Geek Sqaud who swapped my phone for me for a Certified Refurbished one damaged my SIM Card! We played around with the phone for a few minutes before resorting to me having to reach out to Sprint's Customer Service. Sprint then eventually set me up to head over to a Corporate Sprint Store to have the SIM Card replaced. The Sprint representative who helped me also told me that "you can't just swap out SIM's anymore, the guys over at Geek Squad should have known this". I pay a monthly fee for Apple Care and then I also paid up front today to have the phone swapped out, all in the end to receive a refurbished phone that does not work. In addition, it was very convenient to have to head over to a totally different location after Best Buy just to get my phone to work, a phone that was given to me BY GEEK SQUAD. The gentleman who helped me at Geek Squad was a nice guy, but it did not seem like he knew what he was doing after some time. I would like to receive some sort of a refund for my appointment that I had today as it became useless after some time. I had to eventually call Sprint and then I had to eventually drive over to a Corporate Sprint Store to get my phone to work. If I paid Geek Squad, then they should be the ones finishing up the job, to completion. Not just hand me a refurbished iPhone and say "Ok our job is done". This is unacceptable. |
Steve Nash | Not very knowledgeable and the important services such as data recovery is incredibly high in cost compared to independent companies. Rude on the phone because they are "too busy to talk" it was a bad experience all around. Find a local PC/Apple service center that isn't associated with any big box store or chain. |
