Appliance Repair by Dan Marc Appliance in West Caldwell, New Jersey

This place is a rip off. I had them come to my house to troubleshoot my front loading washer. The guy pressed a few buttons and said you need a new control board, new drain pump, new level sensor, and new water inlet valve. He quoted me 800 which is more than a new machine costs. I decided to look the code that it was giving up online. Found that the pump was clogged. Took the back of the machine off and cleaned the filter which had 4 socks stuck in it. The machine has run perfectly since. So they just want to charge you the money for coming out but won't even look at the machine to see what the problem is. I'll never call them again nor will I recommend them.

Was not happy with the services and customer care. The repairman didn't know what was wrong with the washer machine. It took 5 visit to finally get the repair complete. Called there help center for help as well to work with me after taking 5 day off from work. Which at that point with all those days off, cost of each day, it would have been cheaper to buy a new washer machine. Seriously I could have bought a new washer and still have money left-over. I explained to them I can't not afford anymore days off, their attitude was to bad, deal with it. Their time is more valued then your own. The technician was not able to determine the issues for a month, a month. on the second visit Dan Marc order the wrong part even though they had the serial number and model number. The experience was made worse by Maytag explaining that I have to deal with Dan Marc. At the end the all the washer needed was a new controller Board. A month of diagnostics, which consisted of turning control knobs for blink lights to determine the washer not spinning. There needs better diagnostics system in place. It took a month for a repair that was a controller board. At the end, it would not been so bad if Maytag and Dan Marc worked with me and maybe send a repair person tp work on the weekend. My time is valuable was well.

The service was quick and right on point. They fixed my freezer drawers. Took a week to get the part. They came in the later part of the arrival window the first time, and the beginning of the window the second. Highly recommend. This was covered by Geek squad.
