Kelly Fitzmaurice | Do not use this company if you need an LG repair. 5 months after our fridge repair and we are still waiting for the rebate for our LG covered part! Multiple calls and patience on our end, and no refund. According to Benchmark, the rebate check was mistakenly sent by LG to the parts company. Also according to Benchmark, they would be out of a lot of money if they were to reimburse us for the part before receiving the funds from LG. Translation = it's okay for their customer, who already paid several hundreds of dollars on labor, to be out the money, but not the company.... sad, but a BBB complaint is our next stop. |

Communication errors, tech called out, you were never added to the schedule, the tech said he needs to reschedule...all excuses we've been given when we call after no one shows up! Sears should really contract with more reliable contractors!! |
Philip George | Called Benchmark Appliance as per the recommendation of LG to fix a three year old refrigerator that stopped cooling. The company that is listed as being open 24 hours didn't answer my calls or call me back within a reasonable time even after two calls and messages. The next day they answered my third call and offered to send a technician two days later. Disappointedly, I agreed because LG's ten year warranty would cover the cost of parts and all I had to pay out of pocket was labor charge. Luckily, five minutes after I hung up the phone, they called back to inform me that they had a cancellation and would be able to have someone come out the same day. I was excited to learn that I may have my fridge operational sooner than later. When the technician came out, he said the compressor was faulty and it needed to be replaced. To replace the 300 compressor on the 1200 fridge, he quoted me a 600 labor charge! The LG customer service representative was equally shocked as I was. Needless to say, I've learned the difficult and expensive lesson of never to buy LG appliances and to be very wary of Benchmark Appliance. |
