Appliance Repair by Temprite in Freehold, New Jersey

The HVAC installed by them does not meet the State Code requirement. They do not pick up phone nor respond. If i do not hear from them soon I plan to take legal action. State is chasing me and they would be responsible for any fines or penalties imposed.

The initial complaint was my AC stopped working and was tripping the circuit breaker. Temp-Rite came out and diagnosed a faulty compressor. While replacing it on the second visit, the tech drilled a screw into the coil. They replaced the whole unit with a new one at there expense during the third visit. I paid a mere 540 for refrigerant. However there was no measurement as to how mich they used. During the install they found another issue at the main unit. A bad TXV. They replaced it and got the system going. They reported the system fully operational despite my complaint that it was not blowing nearly as cold as before. They said give it a few days and if it is not back to normal, give Temp Rite a call back. After four days of my AC continuously running, , trying to cool my home...I called them back. At this time they said I had a partial blockage on the internal coil which is why the TXV was bad and caused my outer compressor to go bad. It will be 800+ out of pocket to repair/replace the internal coil. I fought with AHS for a second opinion and finally got one. Jazz Air came out and found that the temp bulb off of the TXV had poor to no contact to the pipe. Which led to the TXV flooding/restricting flow to the coil. The Jazz Aire tech tightened it while explaining HVAC to me. Within 10 min and 0 later my AC was good to go. So far....

WISH I COULD GIVE NEGATIVE STARS! DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! Most unprofessional, careless and negligent company I've ever had to deal with in my life. Heat was acting funny last year so I contacted American home shield and they sent these people to my house. Guy SET MY FURNACE ON FIRE while inspecting it and could have burned my house down! They offered to make it right by installing a new furnace at no cost to us, only to find out months later they installed it improperly without a filter rack and now our coil is clogged and the furnace isn't working because it is overheating then shutting down. This is all because the filter was not kept in place and let debris into the coil and it is completely clogged now. Plus they never even applied for permits then tried to say it was our responsibility! Spoke to Carol and Jennifer who were both rude, dishonest and unprofessional, especially Jennifer. After going back and forth with them over the phone and via email for over a week, they finally agreed to help us. They sent someone today to clean out the coil and install a “filter rack” and the guy showed up without even knowing he was supposed to clean out the coil then left the property after saying “he was going to make a phone call”. He never cleaned out the coil. I went downstairs to inspect his “work” and it looks like the guy cut a hole, put some tape around it and threw the filter back in. Filter doesn't even fit in the “filter rack” if you could even call it that and there's all open space around it. I tried calling Jennifer after the tech bolted from my property without finishing the job he was supposed to do and she hung up on me then must have instructed the secretary not to answer the phones when I was trying to call back. What kind of company does that?! How are these people still in business???? Will be seeking legal consult.
