Appliance Repair by Chester Vacuum & Sewing Machine Store in Chester, New Jersey

My experience with this store is the worst I've ever had in any retail store. I was given a hard sell on a new vacuum cleaner and spent 580, and I was promised a lifetime warranty for this product that would be recognized across the country by other dealers. Upon checking the product website when I got home later that day, I learned that this product was not recommended for my flooring type, nor was there any such thing as a lifetime warranty. I called the store the very next day and found out I needed to wait an additional day until I could speak with the owner. When I returned, he refused to refund any money, even though it was less than 48 hours and the box was completely unopened. He did not tell me all sales were final I made the purchase, and he had many other identical products in his store, so obviously my returned item had not depreciated. Although he offered me credit toward a different machine, I would not trust him on any future purchase, and so I left the item in the store and advised him that I would settle with my credit card company. I absolutely would not recommend anyone go to the store if they want honest customer service.
