Kathleen Boulanger | Wanting to shop local, I ordered a spa cover from here and paid cash for all but 80. They told me they could get it in a maroon color. We spoke on the phone a number of times and the girl said she checked with the company. When I went to pick it up I did not have 80 in cash and placed it on my credit card-they charged me 4 to use my credit card after spending over 500 in cash. The owner checked me out and we loaded the cover into my truck. I noticed a dent in the box; the owner said we would have to open it after we had already loaded it in my truck because she would not take it back after it left the store. When we opened it, the color was wrong-walnut not maroon. The owner argued with me telling me it was the color I had ordered; that it was the same color as the top I currently had. I told her I had ordered maroon and that it was not the same as my current top. The owner continued to argue with me and went up front to check. When she found out she was wrong, I received no apology. The owner walked away from the clerk going to another part of the store leaving her to clean up the mess. At this point the clerk said I could reorder it in a different color or keep the one I had. I left the store to talk this over with my husband. The next day I went back to pick up the “wrong cover“ because we needed a new one and could not wait. The owner was not there and left no note to the clerk about this issue. I told the clerk that I was picking-up the cover and understandably she felt she needed to check with the owner about payment I had paid in full the day before when she called the owner, the same person I paid the day before, the owner questioned payment. She said she could not remember me paying her-like she has this type of issue multiple times daily. This happened a number of weeks ago. I was hoping that this owner might reach out and apologize but it has not happened. I will not step foot back into her store which is overpriced, I will shop on line for now on. |
