| J Foster | We like to support our locally owned retailers versus chain stores. My husband went to Fred's to look at freezers. We had done our homework, so knew what the retail prices were. Looked at a discontinued floor model with a scratch and a dent. Anywhere else we would pay the price Fred's was asking for brand new still in the box with free delivery. Asked if it was the sale price, but got a vague snotty answer about prices going up and down. Then asked if they would take 50 off for the scratch and dent with no delivery, and the salesperson got indignant. If Fred's had shown us that superior customer service is important to them, we would have bought from them. Instead they acted like they were doing us a favor. No wonder local retailers are struggling. We'll go elsewhere because of the ATTITUDE at Fred's Appliances. |
