Chris Fox | Very pleased with the repair of our 65 inch TV. Excellent service with reasonable cost. We are looking forward to many more additional years with this TV. We recommend using Phil's TV Repair Service |
Danielle Kelly | I have had several tv sets repaired by Phil's TV Repair over the last 10 years. I appreciate his honesty. It is refreshing. The first time I called him to explain what was wrong with my tv. He told me upfront if it was worth fixing or not. Another time, he charged me a reasonable fee to look at my sets and diagnose the repair. I got each of my sets back in a reasonable time. I also bought a 50 inch plasma tv from this guy, I have had it for at least 5 years, and it still works great! His price was affordable. He delivered the set and set it up for my remote. The next time I need another set or repair, I will definitely call him. |
delzacred . | I dont normally do these things, but this is flat out unacceptable & ridiculous. If you ever need a T.V. repaired do yourself a favor and do NOT take it here. I took mine in for an LED issue that was causing the TV not to turn on. Common issue on LGs apparently. Took him 1 week to diagnos the damn thingafter an upfront 45 diagnosis fee. So I just rolled with it because I didnt want to ship it out to a manufacturer and have to wait a month or so. So the repair was 190 for new LEDs. I had him do it, took about 2-3 weeks give or take for the repair anyway. I pick it up and it's working where he had it sitting. So I assumed, okay cool it's working now, we're in good shape. Took it home, but I work 7 days most weeks on top of a lot of family events going on the past month and I had already bought a spare TV in the mean time. Finally got around to getting it set back up and after a few minutes this happens. The panel inside was damaged and there are no visible scuffs, scratches, marks, whatever else on the exterior plastic screen, or the plastic shell backing. Meaning it WASNT damaged in the process of me moving it back home. In fact it sat in 1 spot and didnt move until I went to set it up. He was the only one to have touched the interior panel. But of course, the receipt SPECIFICALLY SAYS warranty does NOT cover panel defects amongst a few other issues. Almost as though theres been a history of customers coming back for that reason So I contact him and he isn't in the slightest bit helpful, what so ever. After going back to look at the receipt I realize he didnt even care enough, or he was just too stupid to even correctly list my name and address on it. Along with the fact that his invoices were printed in 2016 and he just puts a sticker over the old dates and stamps the new date on. The most unprofessional thing I've ever seen in my life. Other people have had the same issue before, and he refuses to be responsible. To the point where he stopped answering any questions I had. My guess is he damaged it in the process of the repair, and so before telling me to pick it up set the panel in a manner where it looked clean until shifted around. So I paid 250 total to have half my TV back. Its not even usable. Not to mention this was a 4K resolution LG smart TV that wasnt cheap to begin with. I wouldn't ever recommend this service to anybody. I probably would have gotten it back faster just shipping it to LGs service team. |
