Micah Brothers | The service tech came out and was at the house less than ten minutes. My wife was the one home. He did no diagnostic testing. Told her it would cost 630 dollars to fix our microwave or we could buy the home warranty plan and it would make it 310 dollars plus the cost of the warranty600. It cost 89 dollars to have him tell us this. When I got home and got the news, I called him and asked if it could be a door switch and he replied “no”. I declined to have him repair it due to the cost and had another company come out. It was the door switch and cost less than 100 to fix. I called sears and requested a refund on the “diagnostic fee”. They said that was not refundable and it didn't matter if the tech was there five minutes or an hour. He not only misdiagnosed the microwave problem but didn't even bother to check the simple things that could be wrong either. I feel that because my wife was home, he was trying to take advantage of her and up charge the repair. The supervisor at the sears repair center said that they would not refund anything and then hung up the phone. I Would not recommend the service to anyone and would think twice about buying sears appliances. |
