Linda Nelson | Dave Brown, the kitchen designer was very helpful. He showed us all options and explained everything so that we could understand. Whatever he's getting paid, it needs to be more. |
Julie Meyer | I had special ordered some Andersen windows and a Jeld-Wen door. My contractor was getting ready to install the windows when he called me to look at them. The windows had been sent without nailing flanges, even though the order was copied from a previous order that had nailing flanges. As I was on the phone with Home Depot, he called me again and said 'you better come look at this door'. The corner mitre of the aluminum cladding had about a 1/2 inch gap that exposed the white wood underneath the cladding is dark brown.I called HD and spoke with Troy. He was awesome. He contacted Andersen concerning the windows to determine if there was an aftermarket flange we could use. He called me back as he promised, even though there wasn't a quick solution. A couple of hours later, David, who sold me the windows, called and said he would order me new windows or make the situation right. Because my family room has no interior walls or insulation and it's 6 degrees I have opted to get the windows installed as is. HD has agreed to pay the additional costs for the services my contractor has to perform, including the creation of metal flanges, so at least they are trying to make the situation right. I also sent pictures to Troy concerning the door and either he or David contacted Jeld-Wen and I had received a warranty call from Jeld-Wen by the end of the day.So while I am disappointed in the products, this time the service of the HD employees was excellent. I am only giving a very good because the last time I dealt with a manufacturer error on my Andersen patio door screen, it took several calls and trips to HD to get is resolved. |
