Cyndi Fettig | Dan Russell repaired my refrigerator and was very professional, friendly, communicated time of arrival and was on time. My biggest complaint was getting an apt. My refrigerator was not cooling. I placed call on 8/18/19 however they could not schedule an apt until 9/18/19....1 month! The apt scheduler stated she would issue an emergency order........1 month without a refrigerator is too long to wait but had no other choice. |
Jonathan Rupp | Ok, so what in the hell do you do when you have Sears A & E out to your home first on May 30th hoping they can repair our fridge. But of course they have to order parts that take a week to get to our house. Then Sears cancels that appointment because the parts "didn't show having been delivered", even though I physically had then in my hands waiting all day from 8am - 4pm for a repair technician this was June 6th. So Sears took it upon themselves to schedule the next "available" appointment for June 14th, that again we waited all day for the technician to show up from 8am till he arrived at 2pm. The parts having been at the house it was a no brainer install. A compressor, a evaporator, and a couple of joints to join up, so we were told. That evening after the tech left we noticed the fridge not cooling. So we waited, and waited, and waited. Noting, in fact it got warmer, then hotter. So I called and left a message with A & E's technician. Then first thing in the morning I called Sears and its hard talking to the reps since there in the Philippines. I explained I wanted someone at my house immediately. This was now Friday the 15th. And after being passed around a few times, I got a "supervisor" who understood the urgency of my call. I simply made a demand to have a technician come back out to my house and repair my fridge, something I had paid Sears to complete. A job they had not completed. I was given a time shot, of thats right 8am - 4pm that day. So I waited. Calling every hr to try to get an update. Finely around 3:45pm the same technician arrived. I explained the situation and made it clear we wanted a working fridge. Seams simple, right ? Well all he did was open the back of the fridge and said, I see the problem. Of course that's not a good sign for us. He said one of the joints had leaked. All of that nice new coolant he installed had leaked into our home. Probably before he left, by the way things were acting. Anyhow, he got all of his tools back out and "fixed" that joint and refilled the system. He assured us that the brand new parts that were just installed were still unharmed even though they were running without any coolant. We expressed our concern that those were brand new parts and were no longer new since he, indirectly, damaged them. So now faced with a fridge that has been recharged again. He left, saying he was going on vacation and was not going to be taking calls. That evening, guess what ! That's right, the fridge wasn't cooling. Now this is Friday evening. I know there's nothing I can do over the weekend with this company. But Saturday I called and boy did I call. I was furious !! I was told a technician would be able to come to our place on June 26th. That was the first appointment. My jaw about hit the dam floor !! We started loosing our fridge on May 25th, it completely went out around the 27th. Just our of curiosity I wanted to make sure the technician didn't for get to plug in a sensor or something when he left on Friday the 15th. And this is what I found ! We were told the residue is the dye used in the coolant, it's in the same place it was before ! Either he didn't clean it up from before or something. Also theres a spot it's actually blowing onto the cooling fins changing the color of the fin from black to silver. So I'm very upset with Sears and A & E right now. We still do not have a fridge. We are using a friends for the time being for the necessity's. However, I paid 256 for the labor, I want that back ! I also want new parts for this repair. I don't know if this is going to last 6 months of 1 year like the last time this happened. Oh ya, I forgot to mention, this happened a year ago. Almost to the T. I'm FED UP WITH THIS B S !! So I feel sorry for the customer service agent that has to deal with me tomorrow. |
