| Sedo | Dan came out to take a look at my dishwasher that was not draining. Unscrewed three screws and said that I needed a new motor assembly . They never started the dishwasher to see what kind of noise it's making. Gave me an estimate of 400+ to replace the motor assembly and gaskets, but advised I would be better off buying a new dishwasher, which I appreciated. After they left I decided to order the part myself and get it installed. Part arrived, I installed it and the issue remained. I then took off my drain pump, when I did that I saw a small piece of glass, smaller than quarter of an inch, which made the drain pump not spin, I removed the glass, put the pump back on and dishwasher started draining without problems. Feel like the diagnosis they did was a quick money grab, 95 to unscrew three screws, and a waste of my time as they did not do any sort of troubleshooting. My total cost for this repair was 0, which I did myself. |
