Appliance Repair by Greves TV & Appliances Home Center in Madison, Indiana

Hi I am using my mother's google account to post. I bought a washer and dryer set from Greves TV and Appliances several years ago and have been happy with it. I recently had the heater go out of my dryer, so I called Greves and they said that they would order the part. So a technician comes out to my house on 01/10/10, and checks the dryer over and begins to tell me what a horrible set my washer and dryer is and that no one that has bought the set has them anymore, and no one sells them anymore. He then hooks the dryer up to a gadget and said that it needs a new heater. Then proceeds to tell me that it would cost around 300.00 to fix it, and I would be better off buying a new dryer and could buy a new dryer for around 400.00. I did a bit of research and couldn't find a dryer that cheap unless I bought a used one, and if I'm going to do that I might as well keep the one that I have and get it serviced. Anyway... he said to let him know. So after discussing it with my mom, we decided to just get what we have serviced. So I texted the technician and called Greves and told them I wanted to get my dryer serviced. They said that they would order the part, which is what they said the first time I called but whatever. So I had to wait another week before actually getting my dryer fixed, which was 01/16/20. They technician came and fixed my dryer and it ended up being less than what he said it would be. Needless to say I wasn't too impressed with the technician at the first visit. I don't know if he is encouraged to promote consumers to buy a new appliance or if he just didn't want to service my dryer? But I know the owners of the store and they are great people. So simply because of the technician I am giving the company 3 stars.

Excellent customer service. Plus they do their own repairs.
