We are traveling from Eagle, Idaho to Montana in our 15 year old motorhome. We had an urgent repair to get us back on the road. They stayed late on Friday to get us back up and running again. Very professional and good people. I highly recommend Council Automotive Service.

These guys should not be in business. I took my F350 with a 6.0L diesel to them for a front main seal. It was supposed to be fixed by mid-day the next day so I went to the shop to check on it. When I got there I found the mechanic and Billy the owner by my truck. Billy's mechanic was telling him he did not know how to remove the radiator shroud. I explained it to him. Two days later I get a call from them saying "There are other big problems with you truck". I go down there to find out they had forgotten to install the wear sleeve on the crank shaft the front main seal makes it seal against. The next day we got the truck back. The day after that we were traveling through Oregon when the wires for the fan hub got into the fan. It threw pieces of the plastic from the stiffener around the wires into the radiator making holes in it. We had to get towed to La Grande Oregon where we found parts to get the pickup running again. The electrical short caused my ABS system, the speedometer, cruise control and the electrical fan hub to fail. Billy's response to my call was to only to pay for the fan hub. No responsibility was taken for any of the other damage. Billy went on to tell me if I ever showed up at his shop he would have me arrested for trespassing.

On our way north for a family vacation our pickup was having some idle issues and we found ourselves stuck in Council thinking that we would be spending the night there and canceling the vacation. Hailey, Bobby and the other tech that I didnt catch his name, went above and beyond to get us back on the road very quickly that same day. They took the time even though they had a very busy shop to help us with our emergency and I cant thank them enough. They could have charged me 5 times what they did and I would have gladly paid it for the quality, quick help they provided but all they charged me was for a half hour of labor. Thank you guys very much!
