My washer lid lock was not working, which meant the machine wouldn't operate. When I called, the repairman asked in extremely bad English for details and I told him about the lid lock and the error code dL. He said he'd call back, and he did. He said he found out that dL means a door lock problem. I said I knew that. He said he might be able to reset it and he would come right by. Two hours later he arrived. He took a screw driver and wiggled the magnetic latch out a little and scraped some crud off of it. We restarted the washer and it worked. He wanted to charge 200, but I protested. He said he fixed the machine, and I said it's working right now, but who knows if it will work the next time. He settled on 150! Of course, after he left, when I tried to start the machine again, it didn't work!
