Michele Resemius | I purchased LG 4616 range from them and after using the self clean feature, found my cabinets on either side had melted laminate drawers and door fronts. I didn't build this house but have been here for 17 years with a self clean oven with no issues. The easy clean feature is a joke and didn't remove anything so I went to the self clean. The warning in the manual says your cabinets need to withstand 194 degrees. What does that mean? A warm oven is 200 degrees. The cabinet boxes next to oven were fine but its the oven door that leaks out 850 degrees of heat. How did the computer board on the front make it or will this be the next thing to die. When I told Bill Smith they did nothing and said there was a warning the 194 degree. I didn't know that to cook I also needed to be a technical engineer. LG said its my fault and will do nothing. Shame on Bill Smith and LG. I will never purchase another LG product. I spent more than I was prepared to get the features I admired only to spend thousands more to replace my door/drawer fronts. |
