Celena Carr | DO NOT use this service! This is a referral company. There was an 85 diagnostic fee, waived if you use them. My fridge was not cooling properly and so in a panic I called someone who was able to come out same day. My service man, Bob, from Rocket Appliance LLC, did not do anything diagnostic except listen to what I said and look in the fridge and freezer. No testing of any sorts. He guessed at what was wrong and conveniently did not have the part on his truck but made me pay for it. He did not itemize the charges nor did he tell me how much the part would cost. The next day, when he arrived, late, he told me he completely misdiagnosed my fridge and was prepared to change a different part, same price. Bait and switch I asked how much the part was and he hesitated to tell me. Then I asked how long would it take and he said about 1 hour. I was being charged 328/hr for labor. I told him I had a problem with paying that much for labor. He told me they're a “flat rate” labor company and then came down 100 if I opted not to have him “service” my fridge. I still had a problem with 228/hr labor and so he packed up and started racing out the door. In my mind, stealing my money because he didn't offer any help for a refund. He pushed me out of the way when I tried to stop him to ask about a refund. Don from the office called me to tell me he reimbursed me all but the 85 diagnostic fee. I argued with him and told him that Bob pushed me out of the way. He did not diagnose my fridge and didn't know what was wrong with it. He then agreed to give me 100 reimbursement but never followed through. He has now blocked my phone number. I filed a dispute with my credit card company. Hopefully my bank can help me. BTW, my fridge was simply frozen up. I discovered it after taking all the drawers out to see why the bottom drawer was cold but not the top of the fridgeno air was coming out of the vent. I defrosted the ice and it's working fine now. I even asked Bob why the bottom drawer was cold but not the rest of the fridge, unknowingly, practically giving him the answer. He blew it off and said the drawer is a separate system. |
Pedro & Enid Santiago Gerena | My 14 year old GE Profile Artica front panel and refrigerator stopped working this afternoon. I was lucky to Jacksonville Appliance and called them around 7pm. They sent Bob who arrived within 1-1/2 hours as promised and replaced a circuit board, quickly, efficiently and professionally. All our food was saved and we didn't have to buy a new refrigerator. Job well done! |
