The employee told me the cables were likely severed untrue, the laptop still worked and it would cost the price of a new laptop to fix as it was out of warranty. I took it to another shop, Impact Computers, and they informed me this was a common defect with that brand of Lenovo laptops. Instead of charging me to fix it, they recommended I call up Lenovo and ask about getting it fixed for free as it was a manufacturing issue. Lenovo fixed it for free and I only paid 40 for shipping. So, thanks for nothing Geek Squad. You either know nothing about laptops or were trying to scam me into buying a new laptop while I was there. |
