Appliance Repair by Columbine Appliance & Fireplaces in Erie, Colorado

Upon scheduling a service repair with this company I had to schedule over a month away. Technician was on time and polite but was unable to get my unit working. He made me very aware that my model of fireplace was very difficult to find parts for and would need to research some things. I patiently waited almost two weeks without any follow up call and had to reach out to him to find out what was going on. His reply was he still couldn't find anything on my unit. I began my own research and got ahold of the manufacturer and did some trouble shooting with them over the phone. They also sent me a list of all the parts I would ever need for this unit. This all took me about 15 minutes to find and one phone call. I would not recommend this company because I had to do my own research and order my own parts and do my own trouble shooting. At a cost of 179 for a service call I shouldn't have had to follow up with this company and I should not have had to find my own part. Save yourself some money and do everything possible before calling this company. They're not worth it.

We have never had a good financial experience with them. Their technicians are very nice, but we would rather use Hi-Tech whom we feel we can trust more on pricing and service. Unfortunately Columbine is the warranty provider for Whirlpool, which means when we get a part concession we have to use them. But IMO the pricing never matches up to what we were led to believe. I would never choose to use them.

The technician was knowledgeable and efficient. The primary issue I had was the scheduling aspect. I fully expected that 1/2 day would be the window for an appointment. I was shocked when I was told that a full day was the time window. From my perspective, this is not an appointment. Would you go to a doctor's office who told you your physical would be on Wednesday but that you needed a full day off work because they cannot predict what time they could see you? Of course not. As a self-employed person, a full day of a blocked schedule is a non-starter.
