Rob did a great job, he diagnosed a problem that a previous other shop in Truckee only temporarily fixed by grossly compensating the air/fuel mixture. Rob not only fixed the job right, he also charged less than half what the other shop charged me for not really fixing my truck! My truck is running like a top! I am going to take all my vehicles to Rob from now on, my old Ford and my new Subaru, he can work on them all! I whole heartily recommend A Plus Auto. Not only is Rob a skilled Mechanic, but he has good business ethics and practices. He is honest, responsive, and is of the old school mentality of providing great customer service at all times. It is refreshing to still see a shop that values the customer coupled with real world skill and knowledge that only comes with a career of experience. The only downside to A Plus is that it is a small shop, so do not have the expectation that all the time one can drop something off without notice and get it fixed right away. But, to me that isn't really a negative, one will always know that you will have a experienced mechanic work on your car and not a kid right out of a trade school making 18/hr following a prompt from a computer screen. |
