The stars were aligned for me to get my 9 year old gas dryer working again. I looked at all the recently washed wet towels strewn all over my house because my dryer's starter knob broke. They said that they only come out tomorrow afternoon for an estimate then the service would be another day. Disappointed in the 2nd company's timing, my other line rang. It was Jimmy from Appliance Repair Sunnyvale. He was finishing up on a service call. He asked me about the problem & model/make of the dryer. He said that if he had the part, he would call me back in 5 minutes and would install it this afternoon. Came by around 4pm and my dryer is better than ever by 5pm. Oh, he also happens to be a seasoned commercial aircraft mechanic for one of the largest legacy global airlines in the world so you have to think, he can nail fixing a dryer easily.
