Regina | What a nice guy! I just called Jim to discuss the issue of my Viking oven and he mentioned how much he'd charge to fix it, which is half of what some of the other places told me they would bill me for, but then it turns out I am out of his service area. Just hearing him on the phone taking the time and giving suggestions after he knew I am too far away will have me recommend him to family in his service area! |
Jay Luther | Jim is superb. He's what was once called an "old hand," someone who has worked with an enormous number of appliances and has come to know them and their faults well. My old Kenmore washer, probably 20 years old, had been recently serviced by Sears when the front door wouldn't close easily, apparently due to a door latch problem. Sears replaced the door latch, but five weeks later, the washer wouldn't go to washer mode. Turned out that the underlying problem was an internal connection to the door latch that had gone intermittent: a damaged connector Jim diagnosed it correctly and fixed it with good old fashioned understanding of electrical systems in analog washers. He's a problem solver who goes far beyond the contemporary, "Let's replace this card, and that card, until it's fixed." And his prices are very reasonable. Simply because he's been around a long time, and keeps on learning, he's really the tech of choice on difficult problems. Also, fast: if I wanted Sears service, it would have taken 10 days, and probably another 10 for repairs after any part was received. Jim solved the problem in hours. This is simple: you have an appliance problem, go to Jim first. |
Manuel Guzman | I left a message for Jim detailing my issue with our oven. He called me back a little later and discussed the steps I had taken so far and guided me to the problem. Thank you Jim |
