| William Konietzny | We've had Sears service for as long as I can recall but unfortunately it's come to a pathetic end. Our gas dryer stopped heating so we placed a service call, describing the problem and even suggesting it needed an ignitor, a common part. The earliest service date was 20 days later! The service tech, who was cold and impersonal, arrived at 5 minutes to 5 and within 5 minutes informed us we needed an ignitor, which had to be ordered! The service estimate for the part was 160! One of the most unprofessional dealings I have ever encountered. I ordered one online for 18, received it 2 days later and installed in 10 minutes. We have to assume that part of Sears downsizing was to outsource their service to the lowest bidder. I wish there was a way to get a refund on the 2 years remaining on our service contract. |
