Kiwi | Our oven broke in the evening so I was pleased that Sears' repair line was still open whereas other repair places were all closed so I could schedule an appointment. The telephone rep was unfriendly, cold, and very difficult to extract info from. She did tell me that the repair would cost between 195 - 230 . Since our oven was flashing a repair code, I asked to give it to her to relay to the repair man so he could bring the appropriate part and we could, perhaps, eliminate a second visit especially since you have to be home for a period of 4 hours for the service person. Our repair man came in a timely manner on our scheduled repair date, but didn't have any info about the part to bring and, when all was said and done, told us the repair was over 600.00. He was helpful and made a point to order the part immediately; he was accommodating in fitting us in for our 2nd appt to finish the repair. Unless I am desperate, I would not use Sears again because of the misinformation and the lack of interest in my time and situation. |
