That last one was a great starter into a love of playing Ukulele and it was thanks to the awesome set up and availability of this instrument in one of my favorite towns to visit then as a tourist. Since then, that uke is now my daughter's, gave it to her in 2009 and she has surpassed my playing ability. I still play ukes and love them but my latest acquisition from Brent at Stringed Instrument Peddler was the Kala 6 string guitar that my wife gave me for my 48th birthday a few weeks ago, that I had fallen in love with at Brent's store. He helped her conspire to buy this without me knowing and it was surely a big and happy surprise! I love Brent's new location and his find selection. Yes, you will hear that the prices are high but if you take into account that he is not a big box store and can't get the discounts others get, he only selects the best quality instruments and sets them up, and he is there for you after the sale PLUS the fact that you have an instant memory built into the instrument you buy from him, that is came from Eureka Springs and a special little shop like his... well, it's worth whatever price tag he has on it! I love my Ukes and my new Kala! |
