| Curt Leuenberger | I was out of town on business when our refrigerator quit cooling. My wife called Sears expecting professional service. The technician came spent an hour and a half trying to diagnose it without proper test equipment. Finally told her that is was probably the main board. He had to order it; came back a week later and replaced the board. Charged my wife over 500.00. Told her it may take 24 hrs for the refrigerator to cool back down and that if it didn't, then the compressor would have to be replaced costing approx. another 800.00. The next day it still was not working. I was still out of town; so told my wife to call someone else. Another company came, and not knowing we had someone else there that replaced the boards within ten minutes told her the compressor had gone out. Then after looking at the paperwork, told her that the compressor was still under factory warranty and would not cost us anything for repairs. Last time I will ever call Sears for a repair. |
