Norma Gregg | The technician that came out to give me an estimate on my refrigerator repair in Tuscaloosa, AL was extremely professional -- this review is not about him. The review is about Sears using a remote location to schedule repairs and trying to charge me additional fees. We had someone come out to give us an estimate to repair a refrigerator. We elected not to have the repairs done at that time because we were getting estimates. The serviceman stated that it wasn't a problem and the parts would be on file -- all we had to do was call, they would order the parts, and then we could set up an appointment for him to come back out. This was not the case at all. I was bounced around to service phone technicians that I could hardly understand and one guy stated they would have to send someone out again and charge me another diagnostics fee. Another phone tech stated they would take 50 off -- still I would be charged for someone to order parts. They couldn't give me the number to talk to Sears in Tuscaloosa directly. I will not do business with a company that wants to double charge me to orders parts or I can't speak to someone in the same city. This review only received one star because the service repair technician was professional. Without him, it would have been 0. |

Adam Pest | Sears came to my home and did a diagnostic test on my washing machine, then said they needed to order a part. Almost a month later after not hearing from them, I received an email saying that my order has been cancelled and that my request had been completed. After calling the help line, they told me that everything was done and that my washer had been fixed, but none of that happened. They took our check for the part, cashed it, then closed our ticket. No one during this process was rude to me in any way, but none of them were helpful in any way. I am absolutely appalled with Sear, and will not be using any of their services ever again because of this. |

The technician came and ran a diagnostic check and told me he needed to order parts. Then I didn't hear back anything. After 3 days, I called and they told me the service was canceled and I have to schedule another one and the next available appointment is in 3 weeks. Who does business like this? I'm simply speechless! |
