| Keith Vrazel | Had a new Heating and Air system installed in May. The 2 men who did the install did a wonderful job. The AC worked great over the summer. However the reason I am not giving them 5 stars is because when I tried to turn on the heat during our first cold spell the thermostat was set up for a system that has a heat pump. I did not think my system had one but it is a 2 stage system with dehumidifier so I thought maybe I misunderstood. I set the thermostat for automatic heat and AC according to the book it came with and the unit ran both the furnace and AC at the same time. In the window of the thermostat it would say aux heat 2, so i thought the unit was working with a heat pump. The air was only 8o degrees coming out of the vents and would drop down to 48 and go back up to 80. I went outside and the furnace was running as well as the fan on the AC and water was coming out of the condensation pipe. I called AS and they sent out a tech who said that the thermostat was not set up correctly and he had to go on-line to find out how to get it to display correctly for my system. After that everything worked correctly. I am glad i did not wait to long to call them otherwise my gas and power bill would be out of sight. |
