jonathan clark, Realtor | This company was tasked with installing our new HVAC unit by American Home Warranty Company. It was installed incorrectly as the unit comes with natural gas fittings but obviously it was for a propane home. The propane tank is 6 meters from unit so obvious. When it got cold for the real first time beginning of December of this year the system failed. The damage inside is likely and between the home warranty company and A1 there is little regard for customer satisfaction. We have spent hours and hours and hours since December 11 trying to get someone to stand behind their work and admit they didn't do correctly. We haven't been unreasonable at all and have had to keep communicating our need. We have had to run space heaters all over house to keep from pipes bursting. We had our propane tank refilled to over 400 dollars prior to the failure which should last for 6 months and now is down to 30 percent. Who will pay for high electric bills and propane vanishing at an alarming rate. We have been freezing day and night and excuses. The only way this really can be fixed is a new unit because likely the heat exchanger has been damaged. I have called another HVAC person that doesn't have a conflict of interest with certifications and bonds to work on our behalf because we are not the experts and have paid over 1400 dollars for our part when asked to in January 2017 for the new unit to be installed. There is so much documentation on the failures of the home warranty company and A1 that anyone can figure out what happened. To cover up is unprofessional and inhumane to us the consumers sitting in this home waiting for someone to do the right thing. 11 degrees each night made it far worse. Please let us know how you are going to make this right. We know we didn't do anything. We are not the experts and you say you are. All we ask is you use your position to choose good relations over profit. I am sorry it wasn't done correctly but 99 percent of us would never know till an issue shows up. |
