BEWARE OF THIS COMPANY. I purchased a new Whirlpool french door refrigerator which had a bad freezer door gasket which was under factory warranty. I called Whirlpool and was given Lonestar Appliance Repair in Cameron SC. Clifton, the owner said he never replaces gaskets in these refrigerators and orders a new freezer door. This was in July of 2018. He said that it would take approximately 5 to 8 weeks for the door to arrive. After 3 months passed I had heard nothing. I called Clifton to check on the status of the door. I was told that somehow the door was never ordered. He said that he would reorder it. In January of 2019 I had heard nothing. I tried calling and texting Clifton numerous times regarding the status of the freezer door to no avail. He refused to respond to my calls or texts. I then phone Whirlpool customer service again and told them of the situation that Lonestar Appliance was not responding to my calls or text. They were very apologetic stating that I was extremely patient in trying to get this issue resolved. They mentioned to me that they were having a lot of complaints on Lonestar Appliance Repair and would no longer be using them to do their warranty work. Whirlpool has since fixed the issue I had with the freezer door. I recommend if you are in need of appliance repair call someone that you can count on and not leave you hanging for 7 months. This could all have been avoided with simple communication. I would have given this company a zero if would have been an option.
