Crystal McFadden | DONT USE THIS COMPANYWe found a problem with our furnace that was not reported to us or on our inspection report, we had only lived in the house for ten days. We had our furnace tuned up as regular maintenance and the company told us we had lethal levels of carbon monoxide leaking from furnace. We consulted Equity home warranty and they sent someone out to look at it- and because at one point in the past, not currently, there was past water damage evidence, they denied helping us to repair or replace the furnace. They were happy to leave us with a furnace leaking lethal does of carbon monoxide. This is the first time I have left a bad review for a company. I don't like to be the person complaining, but moving is hard and stressful enough. The last thing you want to find out is that your furnace is totally broken and unusable- and it had been working for us great- but we did not know about the gas leaking. I understand that companies refuse claims- but refusing to help repair a furnace that will kill someone - especially where all of our records show no preexisting conditions, is pretty awful. Everyone buys warranties to help offset the cost of everything over the first year and to have companies knowingly deny a claim leaving a family to struggle to figure out how to find the money to repair something that will kill someone- is bad business. I work in healthcare and if I treated anyone like this - I would not be allowed to practice.... so seeing a company treat a customer that has paid them money like this... is bad. |
