David Lacy | This rating is extremely low for 2 reasons. 1. The rep who helped setup the call initially did not make it clear there was an 89+ diagnostic charge. Lets be clear here. The issue was a torn rubber seal. It keeps heat from escaping the dryer. The tear was visible, I knew the part, etc. The first guy who came, didn't bring the part. I had to pay 1/2 the 300 cost for repair. He ordered the part and a new date set for install. 2. New rep comes, installs the part but informed me he had to "cut the seal" to make it fit. Now get this, the original tear was at the bottom of the door opening. This spot gets the most wear and tear as you load and unload clothes. He made the cut in the same location. I had to escalate to Sears that their 90 day warranty is useless as the new seal will surely begin tearing soon since it was cut purposely by the installer. 3. They sent another rep within a few days, I explained the issue. He clearly understood the problem. They had to order the seal again. 4. The same guy who came the last time was the one who came back. He installed the new seal "and did not have to cut it to make it fit". So my rating is based on all the interaction up until the last rep came. If I was giving a rating on him and his service of installing the seal, he would get 4 stars. All the rest of the interactions, 1 star. |
