Appliance Repair by Appliance Express in Georgetown, Texas

I have had some issues with my dishwasher. Lou from Appliance Express came to my house on a Saturday morning and helped me. I have a water softener, water purifier, and HE appliances. We learned that our dishwasher was alerting and turning off because the soap we used was creating to many bubbles. This created a flood alarm in the appliance and basically turned off the water to the appliance. When you have a water softener you need to use a small amount of liquid soap instead of the "Gel Packs" or "Powder". The "Gel Packs" and the "Powder" do not give you enough control of the amount of soap in the dishwasher. The manufacturer will "recommend" you use "Gel Packs" or certain "Powder" formulations. My plumber and again Lou from Appliance Express brought up the fact that a Water Softener will make any soap very bubbly...very efficient. I just never new that my High End HE dishwasher would have sensors that would be impacted by the soap bubbles. Now that the sensors are clears and we are using a liquid soap the dish washer is working better. The dishes are cleaner. The smell from the excess soap is gone. The person was very knowledgeable and it only took a brush to clean the notches in the burner to let the gas come through. I would have appreciated this from the office & avoided my 150 charge for the 10 minute visit. The men were extremely nice, I have no issue with them. I think the office should help people out with some advise that was very simple to check out if that fixed the problem.
